In 7 days my baby will be starting Kindergarten. ONE WEEK!!!!! How is this possible? Wasn't she JUST born???
While she is beyond ready, I am so not and my mama heart cant handle it. She will officially start on Aug 30 but we have a orientation on Aug 29. She will get to meet her teacher and see her classroom and hopefully meet some classmates, they will also learn about bus safety. We are in a smaller school district and it's close to home so will be taking the bus, she wont be on too long max 30 minutes(on the way home). I think she is most excited to ride the bus.
We got the mailer of who her teacher is and it is who I hoped for (so I am excited about that!) And she will also have one of her pre-school friends in her class so I think that will put her at ease a bit. Since we are in a smaller district, it's nice that we dont have to go and purchase a ton of supplies, they have everything for them
She has a few new outfits but I think she needs some more...honestly what girl doesn't need more clothes? I honestly dont know what I am going to do for the 7.5 hours she is in school, hopefully not cry everyday.
I know she will thrive this year and will do amazing. While I know I am not ready, she needs the time away from mama and in the long run, it will be great for the both of us.
well, I feel like it's been FOREVER since Ive been here....and honestly dont even know if anyone even checks in here but...I am posting anyway (and I apologize for the lengthy post!)
We recently just got back from the beach and I have to tell you it was so amazing. Bre hadn't been since she was one so she was beyond excited to go. We ended up leaving Friday night around 11 and drove through the night (so not my favorite thing!) and we made it down there about 8:30, since we couldn't check in until 12 we decided to grab some breakfast and pick up some groceries to waste some time.
We
stay at a resort that we have been going to for about 15 years. My
parents were supposed to go with us but some things happened and they
ended up not coming. We met up with my friend and her family that I have known since I was a baby. It was so nice to have some others down there especially to have someone for Bre to play with (she has 2 girls so they had an absolute blast). The weather was amazing, it was hot but not too hot with the ocean breeze. The only bad thing was all the jelly fish, they were everywhere, my friends daughter got stung the first day we were there.
We went down with no plans and just did whatever whenever. We didn't do much the first few nights just enjoyed the beach and relaxed. We spent pretty much all morning/early afternnoon (830am-3pm) at the beach. Monday we ended up taking the girls to Broadway at the Beach to build-a-bear, and they got some cool light-up shoes and we just hung out there. Tuesday, the resort had a Polynesian Fire show at the pool so we went down to watch that it was pretty cool!
Wednesday night we went back to Broadway and ate at Margaritaville. I have never eaten there before the wait was always too long! But we were able to get in quickly (eating outside) so we took advantage. It was so so good!!! Thursday, Brad, Bre and I went to all you can eat buffet. Let me tell you I literally ate for an hour. That is my absolute favorite part of vacation!!! Once we left, it was pouring and after it stopped we went back to the beach to let Bre play in the ocean some more and of course, she had to flip all over the place. We got to see a full rainbow over the ocean it was the most beautiful thing! It started out as a small faint one, then got bigger and brighter and all the sudden it was a full out rainbow.

Friday started out as a rainy dreary day but that didn't stop us from hitting the beach. It was nice because it wasn't crowded. We only stayed at the beach til a little after lunchtime cause we wanted to do some shopping before we left. Once we got back, we went down to the beach bar and ordered some food, packed up the car and relaxed. We weren't planning on leaving until Saturday morning but B was getting antsy, so we decided to leave Friday night. This time however wasn't AS bad, cause I was able to get a little sleep. We got home like 6am and I am finally getting back into a routine again. Even though, I loved waking up every morning to the ocean, it was so nice to get back home.
