Christmas #3

Since Brads dad and his family live in St. Mary's they weren't able to be here for Christmas eve/day so they came in yesterday for a few days... We were supposed to go out for dinner since yesterday was my brother in laws birthday but we ended up just ordering from pasta too and had dinner here! They got to visit with Bre for a little while before she went to bed she also got to open even MORE presents!!! She got a My Pal Violet from her uncle Nathan and a awesome book, a few cute outfits and topsy turvy ferris wheel thing from His dad and step mom. She was super exhausted so she didn't really get to play with them much! Which was good cause I was able to program her my pal with her name and some songs just for her!!! I think that toy is THE BEST toy and it's so cute!!! So we had dinner and exchanged our gifts...and just hung out and got to catch up!

This morning Bre slept in til almost 7 and when she woke up she got to play with her toys from lastnight! And boy oh boy she LOVES them!!! She dances to the songs her Violet plays and I have to say she is one lucky little girl with all the presents she got for Christmas!!!

Last night I took the ornaments off the tree and this morning I put it away in the attic and the toys have taken over its spot until we get a toy box...today and tomorrow I don't plan on doing much of anything! Saturday morning were supposed to go to the museum with my family (In hopes we have the car back) then Saturday night our neighbors are having a small NYE party so were going to go over there for a few hours! Hope everyone had a wonderful holiday!!!!

Christmas Eve/Christmas Day

We honestly didn't do anything really huge this year for Bre for Christmas I'm waiting til next year when she knows what is going on...so I let everyone else spoil her this year! This year we had THREE Christmases....


normally spend Christmas Eve at my parents but since my sister was in town the week before we had Christmas eve then... So we headed over to my brother in laws for brunch and exchanged gifts had a nice relaxing day. Bre was a champ and stayed awake all day!!! She gots lots of clothes and some toys! My brother in law got me a baby bullet (its pretty awesome) Got home around 5ish and just relaxed the rest of the night... I have to say I made out pretty good myself, I couldn't wait until the next morning to open my gift and I have to say my husband definatley spoiled me :-)

Christmas morning Bre opened the gifts we got her and we got ready and headed over to my brothers for lunch hung out there for the majority of the day then headed home

So all in all we had a very nice relaxing two days with family...

I really cant believe Christmas is less than a week away! Seriously where did this year go!?!? As I mentioned before my sister would be in town this weekend for a week so we were having an Early Christmas Eve celebration with her family.

Luckily Saturday hubs didnt have to work so we were able to head over to my parents earlier than expected, (we planned on spending pretty much the entire day over there) visited with my sister and her kids an then my brother and his family came over....had an early dinner and the kids played hard...Bre just loves her cousins

after dinner the kiddies opened their presents...Bre made out like a bandit.....my brother and his family got her a rocking horse that neighs and it's head and tail moves, my sister and her family got her some clothes and she brought her up a bunch of toys that were up in her attic and she LOVES them! My parents got her an activity jumper, some little toys, and lots of clothes...(needless to say our house is slowly staring to turn into toy central ). My parents got us a Keurig...I love it- the only down fall is that I usually drink 2/3 cups of coffee in the morning so having to change k-cups may be a little pricey...maybe ill just have to cut down

we had a sleepy little girl on our hands around 5:00 so we decided to head home....and just relax the rest of the night had another family day yesterday

Sunday we decided last minute to head to my brothers to hang out with the family again! This time it was just Bre and I hubs wasnt feeling to well so he just stayed home with the pups...didnt do much just hung out and the kids ran around Bre played with some of the boys toys and of course ended up falling asleep. The rest of this week may be a semi busy one...Christmas Eve we're supposed to do a brunch at Brad's brothers then Christmas day we will spend the day @ my brothers

secret santa fun...

When I was planning my wedding I joined 'The Knot" and got to know some amazing ladies who I became friends with thru there and along with FB. We chatted about planning our weddings, got ideas from each other, got lots of support when things were annoying...hard times of planning... and got great advice. Well after we got married a majority of us kept in touch and joined 'The Nest' and some went straight to 'The Bump'.  Well this year someone suggested we do a 'secret santa' and used this wonderful website called Elfster.  Once you sign up and make your 'wishlist' the creator draws name and  TA-DA you get your pick and go on your merry shopping way, you can ask 'anonoymous' questions to your pick if you cant figure something out thru their wish list. We decided to 'reaveal' ourselves on our July Anniversary board once our person thanked us for their gift!

Well I rec'd my gift in the mail the other and I couldn't have been more excited... merely because I love this man's music. I got the Michael Buble Christmas CD and my secret Santa...also got Bre a little gift too. Which she absolutely LOVES!!!

I absolutely love this site, this is the 3rd gift exchange I have done with it! You can do this with online friends or even if you're having a party and having a 'secret santa' you can create the event send an email to the people coming to your party and get gift ideas!

My sweet little Breanna- I can NOT believe you are 6 months old already...I still feel like it was yesterday that I was holding you in my arms and looking into your beautiful eyes for the VERY first time

and now you have grown up so quickly and have yourself fiery little personality!

I love that I am able to stay home with you while you are growing up right before my eyes. You are such a happy little baby and are so easy going, sweet and pleasant!!! People are always saying how beautiful and happy you are.  You hardly ever cry unless you are super tired; You are ALWAYS smiling from the minute you wake up til the minute you go to bed. You also love smiling at people when we are out

You have found your voice and you are SO VOCAL 'singing' to your toys all the time or 'singing' along with the music in the car. You are sitting up on your own and are so excited you can do it you start to squeal in excitement every time you are sitting anywhere without help. Your 2 bottom teeth have started to pop thru and you are a CHAMP with it(minus the few meltdowns you have when you're ready for naps/bed)! I'm hoping when you get the rest of your teeth it is this easy! You are trying so hard to crawl but haven't figured out how to get up and move forward...you are good at pushing yourself backwards or 'army crawling' yourself in a circle. And I am perfectly fine with that!!!

I cant even describe how much joy you bring to me EVERY day! I really don't remember what life was like before you! Happy half a year my sweet little baby girl. Love you to the moon and back xoxo

another fun playdate...

Today started out fairly busy...had to get some things done around the house to make sure the dogs didnt trash the place, feed Bre and get her to take a nap, run some errands all before meeting Amy @ 11.....(good thing I get up @ 6am. I was able to start my day fairly early).

Today was playdate/cookie exchange day!!! We had yummy taco's & other snacks for lunch (thanks again Amy for hosting)...I brought my friend Amy with me this time (so glad her and Harper could make it) and I finally got to meet Stephanie. .....I love that we have all babies close in age and it's so cute to watch them 'play'. We had a book exchange for the babies as well. We then ATTEMPTED to get a cute picture of all the kids sitting together with Santa hats I think as Amy said before we have a meltdown...well...that didnt last too long...I think we got them all on the couch and it was like a domino effect one started crying and it was down hill from there I think Lily and Lexie were the only 2 that cooperated with it;  but there are some cute 'meltdown' pictures! (I of course forgot my camera but the other girls got some pics- which I will have to steal :-))

We ended the day with exchanging cookies and LOTS of sleepy babies. I feel so lucky to have met all these wonderful ladies (Stefanie, Tracy, Amy, Stephanie, and Amy) thru twitter/blogging and now to know them IRL(yes there are 3 Amy's and 2 Stephanies...Tracy & I are left out!) Im looking forward to more playdates or even some 'mommy nights out' with these ladies and see all our babies grow up!

slacking big time-

I dont know if I just havent felt like updating this or just really havent had much to say...but a good amount of things have happend since the last time I updated so here goes....

• we now have a 'sitter' this started the day before Thanksgiving she was wobbling for a little while then she just started to balance herself. She gets so excited she starts to squeal
• we have a bottom left tooth popping up and I THINK the bottom right is creeping behind it she has been doing really well with it, only a few small meltdowns when she is falling asleep nothing a little orajel couldnt fix
• she has been so vocal lately just sitting in her high chair 'singing' away or talking to her toys
• we're still working on crawling- she can get up in a 'push up' position and pushes herself backwards but hasnt figured out how to get her legs underneath her; she is 'scooting' around in circles

Now as for other things...been just hanging out around the house enjoying some down time with Bre and the pups watching christmas movies and cuddling on the couch! (my favorite thing). Yesterday my aunt from California came in for a few days we havent seen her since July so it was nice to see her. today did some shopping with her and my mom, went to see Santa, didnt go over AS BAD  as I thought it would but she still didnt like him...she was fine and all smiley as I was holding her(of course she's safe with mommy) then he took her and she was doing ok then she felt his beard and waaaaaaaaah she let go then she was fine for a few more seconds then she looked at him again and waaaaaaaaaaaah it came again but we ended up getting a cute picture (below)  then after we went to visit my great aunts...havent seen them in WAY too long (my Aunt Millie is 97 and my Aunt Betty is 88) Even tho I know Bre wont remember I am so glad I was able to take her to 'meet them'. I wish that I would get to see my 'extended family' more often but everyone grows up and is so busy or moves away....seems like we only see each other at weddings, funerals or baby/bridal showers.


I cant believe Christmas is right around the corner....that being said we normally we do Christmas Eve dinner @ my parents house then spend Christmas day at my brothers...well since my sister will be here next week, we're going to do our Christmas Eve (dinner/gifts) next Saturday or Sunday (guess I should get my ass in gear and start wrapping presents) Im really looking forward to my sister and her family coming up! (We saw them in October but I really miss them being close, I loved when they lived in Maryland we could take a weekend trip and drive 3 hours to see them.) Speaking of Christmas...I think Im pretty much done with shopping minus the gift cards and a few small things...which I will prob hopefully do in the next week!

Next Wednesday have  playdate/cookie exchange/baby gift exchange Im excited to see the girls (and bring Amy and Harper to meet them as well)...I really hope that we dont get crazy amounts of snow to prohibt us going!  Well I think that's everything...Im gonna go curl up on the couch and watch National Lampoons Christmas Vacation....

tis the season...

I cant believe Thanksgiving is over well just as quick as it came it left...so BRING ON CHRISTMAS!!!  I am ready more than ever this year. With the little hiccup in our thanksgiving plans...it ended up working out. Brad's family had stopped over early afternoon so we had a lunch and they stayed til about 5/6. It was our first year actually cooking the turkey and all the fixings and it turned out to be really yummy. That night we just relaxed and watched TV....B had to work Friday. Didnt do much on Friday just hung out with the little one and cleaned up around the house a bit, I am NOT a fan of Black Friday shopping so I stayed as far away from Robinson as possible, its crazy when it's not holiday season so it's 29320749 times worse this time of the year.

Saturday went to BRU and Tanger Outlets with my mom to see if we could score some good deals...I was sorta dissapointed in the clothing @ BRU however, we did get a few cute things and clearance was B1G1 Free and then we decided to head up to Tanger to the Carters outlet um...can we say 50% off EVERYTHING in the store! I was good and didnt buy anything but my mom got Bre a lot of cute things for Christmas. And then just another lazy night...watching the hockey game. I wasnt feeling too well so I headed to bed fairly early...

Today pretty much relaxed all day....I got some christmas pictures of Bre (previous post) and watched Christmas movies ALL day on Lifetime & Hallmark Channel pretty much perfect day. Im close to being done shopping just gotta get some gift cards and a few more gifts for my nephews. Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving
