Thankful Thursday..

Is it just me or is this week taking forever? I guess maybe since I actually have something to loo fwd to this weekend may have a bit to do w. it! Linking up w. Joanna today! come join in  

• That my friend Amy is back from TX and we were FINALLY able to see them yesterday! We also decided to make a weekly play-date/day out just to get out of the house and get the girls together!
• Bloggers Connect Forum that Helene put together for bloggers to connect, ask questions, get info, etc
• I get to see some of my favorite ladies (& kiddos) this weekend!
• hanging out w. the family this weekend and we are having Red Lobster for an early birthday celebration for my dad  
• Being able to have some playground time on Monday

I post WAY too many pictures of Breanna on Instagram- I know like 95% of pictures of her but cant help she is just way too cute not to

I would rather text than talk on the phone  Seriously I DESPISE talking on the phone

I would rather stay home and relax than go out and party  Even if I didnt have Breanna, I still would rather hang out @ home (or in w. friends)

I have a slight obsession with taking pictures- see #1

I secretly wish I was Nicole Curtis (aka Rehab Addict) or Ree Drummond (Pioneer Woman) I wish I could do half of the things with our house that she does and Ree is like a food goddess!

I dont trust people on the internet and will watermark my pictures until I no longer blog I dont want some creeper trying to pretend my child is their own!

That I only wash my hair once a week -c`mon that's why they make dry shampoo!

I get freaked out after watching PLL that I have to watch another show before I will go to bed

If I need chocolate and dont have any in the house, I will have a spoonful of Hershey syrup

Sometimes...

You just need to forget about the mounds of laundry waiting for you at home and take advantage of a 40 degree day {yes that is warm for us} and enjoy some fresh air at the playground! And that's exactly what we did  today! 

I met my friend Beth for lunch and on our way home we stopped at a playground near by and even if it was only a quick half-hour, it was just what we needed! After being cooped up in the house lately Breanna enjoyed being outside as did I! Then she started to get "extra comfy" in the swing and I could see those little eyes getting heavy!  

So we headed home and as soon as we got home, she fell right asleep! But it was a perfect afternoon seeing her running around and giggling every time she went higher on the swing. It makes me ever more anxious for warmer temps!

Friday Letters...

it seems like it has taken Friday foreverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr to get here! I am sure it doesn't help that I haven't had the car at all this week. Or maybe that this sweet face here....

has been FULL of sass and crankiness this week! Yes, TOTAL sass...I am so scared for Terrible 2-3s!!! These damn teeth just need to come through already so I can have my sweet little girl back. While I have been trying to keep her distracted with blocks, coloring, crafts, etc but she gets those moments!

Thankful Thursday

I feel like I have been neglecting this little part of my world, however, nothing really exciting has been happening...just been hanging out at home trying to keep warm! So I am trying to get back into my Thankful Thursday posts.

• Ellen Show- seriously I love watching her and if I cant see it for some reason damn right I am setting the DVR to record it!

• Zulily TOMs sale yesterday I was able to get Breanna 2 pairs for 1/2 price!

Trendy Tot Tuesday

true friendships

This post has been sitting as a draft for about a month or so,{this also may be a bit of a cluster} I figured this was a perfect time to post  so I am linking up w. Becky over @ From Mrs to Mama for Women Connect again
 
 
I am not sure where this post is actually going but things have just been on my mind!

I don't like change! plain and simple. Once I got married {and then became pregnant shortly after} , I lost a few friends....or people who I thought were friends, and that hurt!  I was looking fwd to having them in my child's life and I considered them family to me, I guess you learn who your true friends are at times like that where you can no longer go out and party and drink{not that I really drank much to begin with}...Don't get me wrong, I still have a handful of AMAZING friends that I have been friends with for quite some time, years to be exact and I cherish them and all the memories we have made together

I am not one to just go out and make friends with random ppl I think that's why I tend to not do things as take Breanna to random play groups or such! I have been told many times you can't make friends if you don't go out and try...well that's not me , most people think I am a major bitch because I tend not to talk to ppl unless I know you or know someone you know, So no I am not a bitch (well yes I can be), I am quiet until I get to know you! Even when my husband tries to introduce me to his friends wives, I am super quiet and don't talk much

Back to the whole making new friends thing... I absolutely love the group of ladies (and kids) we hang out with,  and even though I feel like I have known them for quite some time no, I haven't been friends w these ladies forever but we did chat on twitter and connected through our blogs before we met so that made it easier for me to meet up with them and connect with them! I feel so blessed that they are in my life and I can always count on them no matter what! There are a few other ladies that I have connected w through twitter and blogging that I would love to meet someday but I already consider them lifetime friends! 

Some days I do still think about and wish some of those old friends were still in my life but then I remind myself, they are no longer in my life for a reason! But I do question why? While I know I could be the bigger person and reach out to them to see if things can be mended but do I really want to? Sometimes I do think about emailing/texting them just to say hi but then I close it and go against it. And then I wonder, do they ever think about reconnecting...I just don't know if I really should buck up and be the bigger person its not like things ended with some kind of horrible blow-up fight it just kinda stopped talking/texting/calling etc and I cant say that I am not to blame but I also was pregnant and had a husband so I didn't want to go out every weekend but I still tried to keep connected! You just get to a point where you just feel like things are done! I guess, I will never know until I try and connect with them so maybe I should just do it! I guess I am just afraid to be let down and disappointed yet again...so time will tell!

Blogger Valentines gift Swap

I have been lucky enough to make some great friends in the blogging community! Some I have been fortunate enough to be able to meet {local ladies} in real life. This year Erin and Megan threw together a great gift swap! I was so excited to participate! We were all paired up and for $15 we had to buy our partner stuff! I was also excited when I found out who was shopping for me! Alexa is one of my favorites and everything she got for me was PERFECT. I had Jamie from Simple Southern Ways and you can check out here what I got for her!

I couldnt be more grateful that she sent me those recipies and now hopefully I will be able to be more into meal planning.

Thankful Thursday

Happy Valentines day! We really don't celebrate the holiday, so its just another day to us! lol  So, another Thursday is upon us, what do you have to be thankful for? Come link up w. Joanna over at BabyGatorsDen

• a wonderful tax return, so we can start paying off our credit card debts (it may take a little bit but we gotta start somewhere right)
• LOTS of family time this weekend! We are celebrating Brads grandmothers 90th birthday on Saturday, his dad, step-mom and little brother are coming down to visit. Then spending the day w. my family on Sunday
•  dry shampoo- having long thick hair, I despise washing, drying and straightening my hair- just a P.I.T.A! 
•  Reece's Pieces - I dont even think I need to go into detail on this one!
• For my AWESOME Valentines Bloggy Swap gifts from Alexa {post will be up tomorrow}
• And of course as always my husband and daughter

Pure randomness

I haven't done a random post lately! This is just going to be a bunch of rambling I'm sure!

• We have been trying to keep busy doing crafts! Breanna loves to color and draw. We did a few valentines ones and also made a birthday card for her Gammie Roberts, I need to go buy some more stuff so we can move on to Easter
• Really, I can't believe Easter is next month But does that mean spring is closer?!?!?! 
• We, well Breanna, picked out her Easter dress {I gave her 4 choices and she picked this yellow one- it was one of my top picks so I was happy!}

• I received my valentines swap gift from Alexa. That will be a separate post for another day, but I absolutely love everything she got for me!
• I have been trying to stay off Twitter & Facebook  as much as possible just to spend as much time with Breanna during the day! And it has been a nice little break!
  
• I am obsessed with these face wipes and this nail polish color
  
  
  

• I can't believe it's been a year since Whitney Houston passed away! I remember exactly where I was when I found out!  We were at Brads aunts house celebrating family birthdays
• I think I finalized theme for Breanna's birthday- Cinderella {and the other princesses thrown in as well,  i just hope she doesn't stop liking princesses in the next 4mo}
• I can't grasp the fact that I will have a 2 year old in 4 month...TWO!!! you guys, I still remember her being born like it was yesterday.....see this...how can this be TWO YEARS ago!!!! how is she going to be TWO {hold me!}

• I  don't know what made me think of this {and I may be showing my age} but does anyone else remember this show? I used to LOVE it growing up!

• SMASH is back and I am so so excited. I just love that show.
  Nashville is getting pretty crazy!! I am really excited to see where they go with it, I definitely didn't expect last week to end the way it did! My mouth literally droppedPretty Little Liars I was disappointed at first because it just felt like it was going no where but it seems to be getting better. Spencer is in rare form this season
  I wont even get into the trash Reality TV or I will be here all night
  
  
• I am so ready for spring to be here and warmer weather so we can get out of the house and go to the park! And be able to take Molly for walks
• I am beyond excited for concerts this summer {T-Swizzle & NKOTB} I would love to go to more but maybe that will be a last minute decision! I love me a good concert, especially country ones

• Can we say DIVA! Seriously you guys, her new favorite word? SESILEE {Seriously}

• She also does not like when we have to drop daddy off for work!!!

• I could seriously sit and watch her sleep through the night, she just looks like such a little angel

• I just realized today, I have 6 tubes, yes SIX, of Burt's Bees chapstick! {I think I may have a problem}
• I get annoyed by stupid things and one thing that really annoys me- Joint Facebook accounts! I just dont get it and find it dumb!

Saturday Laughs

When Breanna gets out of the tub we usually head into my bedroom to watch a show while we dry her hair and get dressed. She has recently started lifting her arms and saying pits {she for some reason likes to dry her under arms w. the hair dryer}

Speaking of baths, I was drying her off  one day and she looked at me all serious and was like your ok mommy and gave me a big hug...I just melted into a puddle

Breanna was playing with her baby and she licked her finger and cleaned her babies face 

She is now obsessed w Yo Gabba Gabba and everyday it's Gabba Gabba like 100x's a day

Molly was laying on the floor and Breanna walked over to her,sat down and pat her back and said "you ok Molly you ok"

Also, dont forget, its last week to shop my Stella & Dot trunk show!!! Dont forget ladies, Valentines is right around the corner...find some cute pieces and send your man over and get you something special!!!

Um, yes, I do...why you might ask well because I will be again re-living my FIRST CONCERT EVER! I am sure most of you know where I am going with this {unless you live under a rock} so lets back up a little bit...

Back in the day...when I was a little gal{like 8}...I was slightly obsessed with New Kids on the Block...Yes, T-shirts, Posters, Pins and ALL! We {my sister and I} were beyond crazy about them, we had every one of their tapes, and would make sure we had the VCR  set whenever they were going to be on any TV show!{am I showing my age} Made sure we watched the cartoon!

I remember  when my sister was in college, she got to see them at a local bar in the city and I was so so jealous {and I couldn't go because I was under 18}...this is when they went from New Kids on the Block to just NKOTB 

So in 2009 when they were going back on tour we of course bought tickets!!! When we first got there it seriously was a bunch of  20-30 somethings women drunk and just acting a fool! It was pretty crappy and rainy and our seats were in the lawn so we didn't think it would be much fun. Jesse McCartney opened for them and we had known maybe one of his songs, by this time we were pretty much soaking wet and just kind of blah...then it was time...and boy o boy were we wrong! This seriously was one of the BEST concerts EVER!  They were amazing...still pulling out all the dance moves and rocking on stage! It was like we were back in our young days dancing around singing at the top of our lungs to all the songs and doing all the dances...oh yes, I do know the dances !

When they toured w. BSB I wasn't able to go....so now that brings me to current time...and um they are touring again!!! This time...its {ORIGINAL} Boy-Band heaven!!! Boyz-II-Men AND 98Degrees...c`mon!

To be honest, I didn't think I was going to go, but just the fact they are going on tour again was exciting! Well, lo & behold.....a friend posted on Twitter about no one wanting to go...so of course I had to msg her....and not only are we going...she got us FLOOR tickets!!! I am beyond excited! I can not wait to act like a teenager again and dance around and sing at the top of my lungs!
