Thankful

It has been a little while since I have done a Thankful Thursday post....sometimes its nice to just stop and remember all the little things to be thankful for...

  • first and foremost my husband and daughter (as usual, I am so lucky to be blessed w the both of them)
  • finding an AWESOME gym for Breanna to take gymnastics. The teachers are absolutely amazing and she loves it!
  • despite finding it at the end of the sessions we just found a new library a town over with a another story time & music and movement classes. We definitely will be attending in the fall once they start back up.
  • amazing friends who no matter what are always there, even if you don't talk for days/weeks/months you can pick up right where you left off
  • healthy babies!!! a bunch of friends (bloggy and real life) have recently had little ones and I am glad mommies and babies are all doing well

what are YOU thankful for?

Trendy Tot Tuesday

I'm  joining Kelly & Megan for another Trendy Tot Tuesday.....Do you have a Tot? Come join in the fun and show off their style and meet some awesome mamas!!!

Breanna really has a style of her own lately, she loves to pick out her own clothes and I really cant argue with her because it will be a full out meltdown, so I just let her go, even on days she wants to go out wearing her princess crown and jewelry. This one isn't too bad and she actually matched colors

lazy days...are my favorite days

B decided Thursday he wanted to go down to the library to see if they had any books for more info on his job, he was unlucky but Breanna and I ended up getting a few books. I got Robin Roberts book Everybody's got something, I have to tell you this book was very inspirational and I didn't want to put it down! I finished it in 3 days!

The more hours B puts in at work, the more lazy our weekends have become! Which in all honesty, is fine w. me! Don't get me wrong at times,  I love being busy but I would rather stay home and just enjoy time w. my family!

Friday we didn't do much. After dinner we walked down to the local ice cream shop (I absolutely love living within walking distance to everything in town) and just relaxed the rest of the night.

Saturday we were up early and ran to Barnes & Noble for some Starbucks and to browse and let Breanna play for a bit,  after we were supposed to go to the local farm for their Farm City days but we weren't sure if it was going to rain so we opted out and just went and picked some veggies. On the way home we stopped at one of the libraries and got a membership there and signed Bre up for some story times this week then of course, Target. We decided to get Five guys for dinner and Breanna didnt want to go home after so we stopped at a little lake close by

Sunday was an extremely lazy day, everyone slept in and when I say slept in I mean 7:30...yea to most that is early but we are usually up by 6/630 (Breanna included) we literally just laid around all morning once we finally got up & moving we did our usually Aldi grocery trip and picked up lunch and just vegged out the rest of the day/night.

This week we have another cold front coming through and its going to be fall like temps (YAY) and we have a pretty busy week...Wednesday we have story time and gymnastics and Thursday we have another activity at the library and Friday we may go out and visit my parents and I may just chop off my hair! So today and tomorrow we are enjoying being lazy!

tiny dancer...errr gymnast

Not going to lie, as soon as I found out I was having a girl, I was beyond excited to some day put her in dance/gymnastics classes when she was old enough! I danced from the time I was 3 until 16.  This past week we had the chance to take some summer classes for Breanna before we 100% committed to a full season!

We have been talking about it since I found this place and she kept asking when we were going, So the day came and in the morning she was super excited, we went to a play date that afternoon and once we got home cue EPIC meltdown (thank you no nap) so after lots of tears (for reasons I am still not sure of) she decided she did NOT want to go!

I was perfectly fine with that (as much as I would love for her to do it I am not going to be that parent that FORCES something on my child she wants no part of) and then as we were supposed to leave I just asked her one more time to make sure she was positive she didn't want to go, out of the blue she decided she DID want to go and I really am glad she changed her mind because she had a blast!

The quality is horrible, they are from my phone

So once we got there I filled out the paperwork and paid for the class and took her down to the gym part (parents aren't allowed in the actual gym and have a window upstairs to watch from). I honestly thought she would be a little shy and clingy because she can be like that in a place she isn't familiar with! But she didn't even flinch once I went back upstairs

They had them warm up and then they did some jumps, inflated the mat did the jumps on there along with tumbling, and then they swung them on the low bar and they did another set of jumps and back around and did that a few different sets and the end they walked them across the beam. She only glanced up a few times to make sure I saw what she was doing! So we are going back again and going to continue the summer classes and will sign her up for the fall season.

We were going to do gym for summer and dance for fall but after some talking w. Brad we really think at this age this is PERFECT for her, she is still getting the interaction and the exercise. Plus we won't have to worry about shoes, recitals, costumes, practicing dances etc....I remember when I danced it was somewhat overwhelming and very expensive! So once she is old enough, I will let her decide what she wants to do.

4th of July

Yes, this is pretty late but hey, I am catching up with posts so....

Our 4th of July is usually pretty relaxing. Our town actually has a big carnival around the 4th (McSummerfest) we haven't been since Breanna was first born (we just have yet to make it back plus it keeps us from wasting $$$ lol).  They also do fireworks usually 2 days before its over, this year they  had them on the 3rd. We are fortunate enough to be able to watch them from our house so we dont have to deal with the crazyness. My friend Stacey came over this year and we just sat out back and watched them, this year is the first year Breanna actually stayed awake to watch them and she loved them!!!

On the actual 4th we try and spend the day w. family just cooking out and relaxing. This year we went over to my parents fairly early so Brad and my dad could go golfing in the morning and we just hung out and had some yummy food. We ended up taking a trip to Walmart to get some stuff for my moms garden and then we headed home early evening. We didn't see any fireworks on Friday, B had to work on Saturday and we didn't want to fight traffic. So it was just a day of family and relaxing which in all honesty, is a perfect day for me

life lately

Not sure if anyone has really even noticed but it's been awhile since I've graced the pages of this little ol blog! This may be a boring post with very little amount of  pictures, but if we are friends on Instagram or even Facebook, you've seen most of what we've been up to!! I won't lie I have missed it but I also have enjoyed not worrying about what to post for each day!

I wish I could share some exciting fun stuff that we have been up to but honestly we have just been going for ice cream once a week (FINALLY that's a story in itself),going to the playground, celebrating family birthdays(Breanna, my nephew and my mom), having play dates here and there, cooking out with friends and enjoying summer.

We were supposed to go to the beach with my family last week but we decided we were going to be responsible and pay off some debt and start to get back on track, it does suck we didn't get to go but the beach will be there next year and we will be much happier in the long run knowing this is paid off. We still have more to do but we took a big chunk out, so we are slowly working on it and that makes me happy!

We still may take a mini weekend trip or we may go up to Erie for the day. We are taking a week trip in the fall to Alabama to see my sister and I am beyond excited! I haven't seen her since we were down there last year and I miss them like crazy!!!

I found a local place that has summer drop in classes where you can pay per class so we started Breanna in gymnastics this past week and she is loving it so far and we are going to continue through the summer and then, I think we are going to sign her up for fall classes as well (that will be a post in itself)

This past week, we had a "cold front" come through and it has been amazing! I love being able to keep the windows open at night and throughout the day! If I am going to be honest, I am ready for more of this fall-like weather!!! Sorry, I like summer and all but spring and fall are my FAVORITE! Sorry summer lovers, I just hate heat and hot weather, unless I am sitting in the sand with my toes in the water or at a pool somewhere.

So that's about all we have been doing. I am hoping to start back up and post more often again but I cant promise too much right now. So until next time....

July already, this summer is surely flying by quickly!!! Just wanted to stop in and say hi. If you've noticed,  I am taking a small bloggy break to just enjoy the summer and not worry about what to post on this little ol blog! I do miss it & I wont be gone too long....I will be back soon to update on all we've been up to so far this summer. But for now....
