so today was the day...

we started on rice cereal and it was a HUGE success!!! She absolutely loved it and she did really good didnt end up with TOO much on her or me! She also had some grape juice which she loved as well!!! I cant believe my little girl is growing up so quick waaaaah :-(

4 mo checkup

so today we had to go to 4mo check-up I have a tall skinny little girl on my hands...she only gained a few oz from last apt and is about an in taller and her head is bigger...so she is 12lbs 24 1/2 in and head is 16 1/4...Dr is happy with everything....so I am not worrying :-) he did however suggest that I up her food to 8oz so her last feeding we did that and so far it is all staying down and she seems to be full...and we also have to add rice, food and juices to her daily feedings.....she did good on her shots, I gave her some Tylenol before the appt to hopefully make it better and so far it seems to be working, she did cry a bit but not nearly as much as the last time and she still her happy little peanut self :-) we dont go back til January so it'll give her a nice break from shots, etc...we've seen the Dr. every month since she's been born...

So I am going to start this weekend w the rice, foods and juice so that should be a fun treat ...I'm sure Ill have plenty to post about it next week

Every day I spend with Breanna just amazes me and is so amazing seeing her discover all this new stuff makes me so lucky I am able to stay home with her and see it all and as everyone tell me constantly she will grow up so quick so enjoy every moment of it...which I indeed do-  and also how everyone says the love you feel for a child is like no other love you have ever felt...and that is oh SO TRUE....sometimes there is a little part of me that is so selfish and just wishes she could stay this little forever

taken too early

my heart breaks right now- so sad to see young people pass on TOO early...I was lucky enough to meet this great group of guys LoCash Cowboys in 2008 and have been a HUGE fan of them ever since....not only are they great performers but they are great people too who care about their fans...Today they lost a great member of the band..(I have posted an article below about what happened). My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and the entire locash family...you will be missed by so many Ryan-

4 mo-

These past four months have been a few of the BEST months of my life....I cant believe my baby girl is already 4 mo. So much has changed and my little girl is no longer a "baby" she is so alert, rolling over on her own (and struggling to get back to her back), much more vocal, and just the happiest little peanut EVER. I dont think I could have made a better decision with B to become a SAHM...I really dont think I would like being at work while she is "discovering" all this new stuff in this big ol world...

pumpkin patch fun...

Sunday was such a beautiful day we headed with everyone to the pumpkin farm, it was in TN so it was about a 45 min or so drive and it was out in the COUNTRY!!! They had a bunch of activities there for the kids to do and they surely had a BLAST....Bre of course fell asleep (as she was still all screwed sleep wise up from all the excitment) but I did get some really cute pics before she zonked out...they had a small petting zoo with horse, goats, donkeys, a hog, mule, and some cattle....so they took us out about a mile or so into the pumpkin patch on a tractor the kids loved it and of course B slept lol....that night we just hung out and relaxed....Monday we went shopping again and Monday night my niece Kate had a game she was cheering at so we headed to that...got up super early yesterday to head back home...had really good flights, I had a really great time visiting with my sister and her family but I am glad to be home...I missed my hubby and my crazy pups

wordless wednesday

traveling with baby...

so I was extremely nervous yesterday to fly down to Alabama to visit my sister with the baby, 1) I just didn't want to be that mom that has the crying baby the entire flight and 2) I am not much of a fan of flying I just get really bad anxiety and secretly freak out (OK so the secret is now out) well we got up bright and early and I mean EARLY....like 4am early...to get to the airport by 5 (our flight took off around 7ish) first stop was Charlotte then we flew into Huntsville. She did great on both flights and slept pretty much the entire time...had a little fussy moment on flight 2 but she was so exhausted. We got into AL about 9ish and went to my sisters and unpacked everything then headed out for lunch and had a girls day shopping. As we were heading to Target I spotted a 'portrait innovations' studio in the same plaza....and Ive been wanting to get pics of Bre done since she was born but never have the time to get them so I figured let's try. So as we were in Target I found the CUTEST outfit...

 

so I was sold so I called and made an appt...not expecting to go last night more thinking today or Monday but they had one for 4:00 so we made it....came home from shopping got things together and headed up to the studio...by this time she was so exhausted cause she only got a few cat naps thru the day but she did amazing ALL day so we figured if anything we can finally get some of those sleeping pics I always wanted. Well we waited prob a good half hour 45 min, which was fine with me cause she was able to nap a little bit....once our time came she was a little foggy and sleepy still  but the photographer did amazing with her he had her laughing (as you'll see in some of the pics) and then toward the end after about 35 pics she was pretty much over it...here are some of the good AND bad pics (which in all honesty I still think are so cute)..  the first 4 are the actual ones we ordered (and we got a really good deal....we got about 70 some pics plus a cd with all the pics, for like $80 plus they included 5 free Christmas cards since we had to wait, I would totally recommend them if you're looking to get prof pics done and I know they have some locations in Pittsburgh area)

today were heading to a pumpkin patch and I'm hoping to get some pics w her & her cousins....those I wont be able to update til I get home and get them off my camera....hopefully Ill get some on my phone that I can maybe post :-)

to dress up or not to dress up

so now that it's Oct...I have been thinking if I sihould dress up Bre for halloween or not....I mean it's not like we can actually go door to door and trick or treat however, Amy and I are taking the girls to Robinson and the Village but I was at Kohls today while runing some errands and came across this...

I cant decide if I want to break down and buy it or just wait until next year...ugh decisions...Ill take the weekend to think about it and then if it's still there when I get back from my trip I may just buy it...

I took these last night after a bath and before she headed to bed...this is her new favorite blanket to get warm in after the bath she also just loves to lay in her crib before she falls asleep and hold it (and yes I take it out before I go to bed)

randomness

I really dont have much going on but I just feel like I needed to blog....This weekend really didnt do much of anything Friday just hung out & watched TV, Saturday Bre and I went over to my mom's and spent the day with her did some shopping and just had a day with Grammy...got some super cute stuff and I discovered H&M at the mills has a kids store which is bad  cause I could really buy everything in there for her....and I am glad there is not one out here in Robinson and these boots from there which I want some myself

Today just hung out in sweats and watched the pitiful steelers game...this weekend was just a miserable one(weather wise)

I cant believe it's October already...we have a lot planed this month and I cant wait...this coming weekend my mom, Bre and myself are heading down to Alabama for a long weekend to see my sister and her family, then the weekend after we come back gonna go to a pumpkin patch with my family and my friend Amy, her hubby and their little girl, and Amy and I are going to take the girls trick or treating at the Village and Robinson and Im sure a lot of other fun things.....Im really looking forward to getting some pictures at the pumpkin patch...well I guess til next time.
