Let's talk

Linking up w Erika today for Let's Talk. Today's topic is 'New Year'

I did a previous post on my goals, for this year but I will touch on that a little bit but I love a new year for a fresh start. I love being able to forget about the bad that happened in the past and just start new....so let's get to it.....

What I am looking forward to?
The beach!!!!!!!!! We haven't been to the beach in about 2 years and I cant wait to get my toes in the sand. We stay in a resort in Myrtle Beach and have been going there for about 18 years. It is awesome. It has everything right there on the grounds (pools, food, volleyball courts, bar, pizza/ice cream, lazy pool, kid pool, tennis/basketball courts, playground and so much more)

Bre is turning 5 this year....how is this even possible? Was she not JUST born??? This age is so much fun we have so much fun and I love how she loves & wants to be with me pretty much 24/7. Some days I do need a break but when it comes down to it, I love it and want to bottle it up for when she turns into a teenager and wants nothing to do with me.
Breanna's recital- I love how much she loves gymnastics and she loves even more to be on the big stage! I cant wait to see what they do this year

Excited about
The beach- seriously I can NOT express how excited I am to just sit my butt on a chair all day and listen to the ocean and watching Breanna play. Last time she was at the beach she was 1 so it will be a blast this year

Goals
-more time with my bible
-let go and forget the little things
-be more present

letting go

So we are about a week into the new year I normally dont do 'resolutions' I like to think of more goals for a new year. But I do love being able to start fresh and just put the past in the past and move forward. This year however,  I want to do things differently.
I want to make relationships (old and new) better. I want to be more present. I want to stress less. I want to worry less, and just let the little things I cant control go & not make me crazy.

I normally am not vocal about this kind of stuff but last year I found an amazing church and I just feel like its where I need to be and when I am there I just feel like it's right.  I also love how welcoming they are to everyone. I also love that if I cant make it to service, I can catch it online & feel like I didn't miss out.

I  feel like before I can start transforming myself I really need to have a better relationship w God  and just need to understand I cant control everything and things are just going to go how he has it planned for me. It is so hard for me to just let go and let him be in control but I think if I do that then things will just go I guess you could say better? While it may not be what I hoped for or what I really want at that time but I need to stop and understand it is happening for a reason, and it's where I am supposed to be at that time! So here is to just letting go and letting him be in control

welcome 2015

Well, hello 2015......last year sure flew by and this new year just snuck up on us out of nowhere. 2014 was a good one, I definitely learned a lot about myself.

I learned that its OK to say no, and if people cant understand, they will get over it and if they don't not my problem! I also learned you cant always count on everyone to always be there when you would like them to & I need to just let it go and not take it personal

Breanna started gymnastics and is loving every minute of it! We had a fairly low-key year and didnt do much out of the norm. We lost our sweet pup which was one of the worst days possible.

I am excited to welcome 2015 with open arms, hoping for some changes and some exciting things to happen but we will have to just wait and see. Maybe another addition to our family (a puppy people!).

I just want to wish a happy & healthy new year to you and yours

FINALLY opened a savings account for ourselves!

Me and B are FINALLY going out on a date this weekend to celebrate our birthdays. It has been since July (our anniversary) since we have been out just us 2. My mom and aunt are going to come watch Breanna for us.

To you and yours...

While I don't have anything spectacular to look back on, other than a few crappy days/weeks it wasnt too bad for us. I am however looking forward to 2014 to start eliminating lots of debt and bettering myself. I wanted to wish all of you and your families a happy & healthy year!

I found this today on FB and I thought it was perfect.

2014 goals

With the new year a few days away, I thought it would be a great time to make some goals for myself. I am not one to do resolutions because lets be honest, I don't stick w. them....so I am setting goals this year!!

  • My biggest goal is going to be eliminate (credit card) debt! This will eliminate a lot of stress on both of us. And then only have one card for emergency only!
  • Only buy things if we can purchase it w. money from our acct if we cant afford it w. cash/debit card, we don't need it!
  • Start a savings account for ourselves (and Breanna)
  • Continue to go to church every week and make my relationship w god better.
  • Try and take some ME time! If its just to go get a manicure or catch up w. friends over lunch/dinner. Just get away from the house for a few hours to get a break and de-stress.
  • Be a better me for myself, B and Breanna
  • Read more books

Do you do any resolutions or goals?

2011....Thank you for a great year!

Well another year has come and gone and I have to say 2011 was one of the best years of my life!!! I am so blessed and one lucky girl!!! I have the most amazing husband & little girl, family and friends!!!

I really thought 2010 would be hard to top getting married and becoming home owners but on June 15, We were blessed with the most precious little girl EVER!!! When they say you don't know real love until you have a child....well that is so true!! Now don't get me wrong I adore and love my husband to the moon and back but once you are blessed with a baby your whole world changes!! And that it did however I couldn't be happier!!! I was lucky enough to be able to stay home with Breanna and not have to go back to work.

I have remained close with some WONDERFUL friends who I love.....also 'lost' a few along the way. As we get older and grow up its hard 'make friends' especially once you have children but was lucky enough to meet a WONDERFUL group of mommies who are so amazing and so supportive in everything!!! I feel so blessed to have them in my life!!! And feel even luckier that Breanna is going to have some great friends as she gets older. We've only known each other for a short while but already have some great memories and I am looking forward to making many more memories through the years!!

Personally I am not one to make resolutions for the new year cause I never stick to them and if I want to make changes I will do it throughout the year! Thank you all for a wonderful 2011 & here is to a new year with lots more memories!!! Happy New Years my friends!!
