a new direction

I think I am ready to take this blog in a different direction....where? I am not quite sure yet but I am just ready for a change....I want to start with the name . While I still love my 'Adventure of the Roberts', I dont think I want to stick to that anymore. I will still be sharing about Breanna and our family but it wont be a constant and I dont think I want that as a main focus.

When I first started this, it was to keep in touch with out of town family when we got married, then pregnant, etc but I feel like I am done with that part of blogging.  I really dont have an idea of what my exact "niche" will be. So please bear with me while I try and figure this out and if anyone has any advice on new names, ideas (I have a love for music, being a wife/mom, coffee, wine, NKOTB, sushi, reality TV)...or just anything throw it my way.

life lately-M.I.A

Ive been a little MIA over the last week, but we have been fairly busy! Story time has started back up at our local library so we have started back at that, The original one we went to earlier in the morning was geared more towards 2 & under, so thankfully they have one later in the day for 3-5 years that we tried last week and she loved it and it may have been the fact she was lone wolf until about 20 after and a little boy joined.  We have music/movement classes every other Thursday that we started up again, & of course gymnastics! So our weeks are pretty busy, but that fine w. me, because it gets us out of the house!

Weekends have been pretty laid back and we usually just go out to dinner Friday night and Saturday/Sunday Breanna and I either go out to my parents or we just kind of do what ever we feel. I stocked up on some BBW fall candles(My FAVORITE!!!!!)

I never used to decorate for Halloween, (usually just fall) but Breanna wanted every decoration she saw, so we bought a few new ones from Walmart that were super cheap and also grabbed some from my parents that my mom doesn't use anymore, so we got a good amount and she gave me some cute fall decorations for outside. Speaking of Halloween, Breanna picked out her costume,(if you follow me on instagram, check out the video of what she says she is going to be) now I just gotta make the other part of it

Last week, I got my hair colored & I am obsessed!!! I am so happy w. how it turned out.

life happenings

I cant believe its the last week of February already, I feel like such a bad blogger lately, I have so many blogs to catch-up on and I just haven't really felt the urge to post or maybe nothing has really been post worthy.

The past 2 weeks have been semi busy. We started story time up again at our local library, we celebrated Bs grandmas 91st b-day(she is just the cutest), went to see Little Mermaid in the theater, met up for a play date @ the bookstore.

I purged my back closet and donated 2 1/2 bags of clothes/purses and shoes I no longer wear or want. And I have to tell you it feels great to get rid of it. Next up I am going to tackle everything up in the attic then I will attempt Breannas clothes.

I got 2 more credit cards paid off and only have 2 more to go, I cant even begin to explain how great that feels to know I am almost credit card free!!! If you follow me on instagram I'm sure you know I have been busting my ass working out every day and while I haven't dropped pounds, I can tell I am toning up a bit more, I am still trying to work out eating better I have been staying within my calorie intake but I cant say I am eating the healthiest yet but am trying. B got me new workout/running shoes last week and I am in love with them, not only are they pink they are super comfy!!!

Zulily had their TOMS sale this past week, and I snagged up a pair for Breanna while I wish I could've gotten her 2 pair the selection was kind of sucky this time around. I received a new Influenster VoxBox last week and the bag of Hershey Kisses was like a punch in the stomach and its so hard for me to resist some chocolate so I threw them in the baking cabinet and may have one every so often....go ahead judge away, the bag is still pretty full so its not THAT bad!!!

2.5 years

My sweet Breanna,

I haven't done one of these posts in quite some time so I think its due time.  First I do not believe you are 2.5 year old, seriously when they say time flies when you have kids they weren't joking!!!! I seriously feel like it was yesterday we were heading to the hospital to bring our beautiful little girl into this world.

You had your 2.5 year check up earlier this week and despite all the tears (from the moment you got out of the car) it was a great check-up. You are a tall and skinny girl {26lbs &  37"} just like mama when I was little. The doctor said you are perfect and healthy and are right on track. And funniest part of the appt is when you told the doctor, "Not the stethoscope!!!!!"

Now I have to brag a little bit, doctor said he is super impressed w the way you are talking in perfectly clear sentences. You are super sassy and just full of spunk & attitude but so so sweet and super smart! I am amazed daily w. the things you know. Your imagination is crazy right now and I just love to sit here and watch you play. You love to talk to people when we are out and will talk to just about anyone.

I wish I could just freeze time and keep you this age forever. I love everything about this age....well maybe except the attitude or tantrums! But seriously, I am so lucky to be blessed w the sweetest most polite little girl ever.

Weekend Shenanigans...

Well hello there Monday! While I know most of you are not a fan of Monday, I cant say I don't mind it so much seeing my days usually just blur together and some days, I don't even know what day it is.

This weekend was yet another relaxing one...that seems to be a theme lately- fine by me! I normally dont like to rush weeks (especially ones that just began) but I am super excited for this one to end....Friday we are heading down south to visit my sister and her family for a week! While I am not looking fwd to the 12 hr drive, I am excited to just un-plug for the week and enjoy time w them and not have to worry about anything

Friday- just a normal lazy night catching up on blogs and shows
Saturday- ran some errands in the AM and just enjoyed the gorgeous weather the rest of the day/night...went for a family walk in the afternoon
Sunday- lazy morning everyone {except me} slept in til almost 8 so I enjoyed the cooler temps w. some coffee on the front porch, once everyone was finally up we had some breakfast and got ready and went to a birthday party for a friends daughter, it was a beautiful day and really nice to be able to catch up w friends but once we got home my sweet little girl turned into demon child {this is what happens when child doesn't nap & is overly exhausted!!!} But she had a blast playing w. her friends.

Life lately

I don't think Ive done one of these posts in awhile...so its due time {although nothing exciting lol}! Not too much to really update on because it seems like we've been doing a lot of the same things- Play dates, going to the park or just playing outside enjoying the heat...well I cant say I really enjoy the heat or humidity but thanks to our neighbor for getting Breanna a little pool for her birthday its helped some! 

I may be missing for the next few weeks, my sister is coming up from AL on Wednesday with her family and I cant wait!!! Its been forever since we've seen them. So we will probably be super  busy for the next 3 weeks! But at least I will have a lot to update on!!! 

So far we have a few things planned- 

• Ducky Tour on Wednesday, 
• Pirates game on the 4th, 
• Taylor Swift concert on 6th, 
• We are having a ` 100`  party to celebrate my moms and brothers birthday on the 7th (my mom turns 60 on 7th & brother will be 40 on 21st). 

And then we still have 2 more weeks to plan, I'm sure we will go to the zoo, maybe the Children's Museum just to name a few things. 

Brad and I FINALLY went out on a date, last time him and I were out was at the beach last summer! We didn't do a whole lot but it was just nice to be able to relax while eating dinner and actually talk! We ended up going to get sushi/hibachi and then just went to Tanger Outlets to walk around. And I got a beauty coach bag...and an even better deal! It was originally  $500 on sale 40% & 50% so I got it for $120!

I finally got a haircut...its been way too long, I think over a year? Yea, I know I shouldn't have gone that long but that's what happens when you become a mom, you don't really do things for yourself that you should! I didn't get much cut but he put layers in and it feels like 100x lighter! I am going to get some color in August before we head down to visit my sister, nothing major just some highlights...
